I was so confused when I first met these two. He introduced himself by saying, “Hello, my name is Chris”, then she introduced herself by saying, “Hi, my name is Chris too” . . . . What?! After a bit of questioning, of course she spelled her name as Kris but they are both definitely named (Ch/K)ris. Kris also goes by Krissy so that helped when directing them during shooting.

We immediately hit it off and they asked me how soon we could shoot their engagement session. I said whenever and then they asked if we could do it the following week. I loved it. Krissy told me how she is a planner by nature and loves being on top of things so everything flows smoothly. This worked out perfectly as the day-of events of the wedding went for the most part right to the schedule that was laid out. This is not usually the case for most weddings.

Krissy and Chris have 3 adorable boys all of which were Chris’ best men. How cool is that? During the whole ceremony I was thinking about how awesome it is for Chris that his children were standing right there beside him while he was marrying this beautiful woman in front of him. Talk about a family memory.

The Monte Cristo Ballroom delivered magically as usual. The bar area has such amazing light and decor yielding some great images and after waiting out the weather a bit, we were able to go out to the alleyway right on the side of the building and finish off the bridal and wedding party portraits. The weather also cooperated just enough for us to do the family photos right in front of this beautiful venue. It really does not look like it’s right in the middle of a major city downtown.

It was a perfect wedding day, finished off with Monte Cristo’s famous food (at least in my mind), and some great dancing. I love it when everyone at a wedding is hitting the dance floor. The evening was finally wrapped up with a beautiful escape by the bride and groom through a tunnel of bubbles being blown by all in attendence.
