This one is from a bit ago but I’m slowly getting to some of these sessions that I never got a chance to blog about before. This session came from my holiday card offer of the photo shoot itself as well as a certain number of printed cards with the clients’ chosen photo(s) and text. This also happens to be the family of one of the first weddings I ever photographed several years ago, Abby and Aaron Cave and their three boys.

We planned to shoot in a Terrace Park, close to Arlington Washington’s downtown area. Luckily the weather just barely held out and we didn’t have to break out the umbrellas. The three boys ages ranged from 1 to 5 years old so you can imagine how difficult it was when all they wanted to do was play in the dirt. We would pick a location to shoot, arrange Abby and Aaron and then round up the kids just long enough to get some shots off and then they would lose interest. Rinse and repeat.

I also was able to get some great playful shots of the boys playing on their own. The autofocus on my camera was working overtime to keep up with them though.
