What happens when a photographer has a wide open day on the weekend and his wife is at work? Why call up a friend for a quick portrait session of course. Kevin answered the call for jumping in front of my lens and we headed out. I will say I originally just wanted to polish off a roll of film for my year-long Project OneRollFifty2, but ended up shooting a lot of digital images after the roll was finished.

Sometimes I love to head out to a portrait session without having a set plan of where I’m going or what we’ll find, and that’s exactly what we did. We ended up down in Everett’s industrial area by the train tracks but we were stopped by all the No Trespassing signs. As much as I wanted to cross the tracks to some prime shooting locations I could see, I really didn’t feel like getting involved with homeland security.
After shooting a couple shots there, we headed into downtown Everett and walked the streets looking for greats locations and light. All said and done, we got some great shots but I had to hustle off to photograph Sunny’s maternity pictures (see my previous post here for those shots and story).
Thanks Kevin for being my muse for the day and lookin’ like the rockstar you are (no really, he has lead some pretty awesome bands). I’ve photographed him many times up on stage. You can see some shots of his band in this Facebook album.
