Angela and Avi are one of my 2013 wedding couples. Actually their wedding JUST happened this past weekend from the moment of writing this post! It was amazing and make sure to stay tuned for their wedding post but that’s not what this post is about. This is about their fantastic engagement session a couple of weeks ago.

Avi has been doing ballroom dancing for several years now and when he met Angela, they decided to pursue this passion as a couple. Angela mentioned wanting to do some of the engagement pictures inside their dance studio and I was 110% on board with the idea. After a couple of phone calls were made to make sure everything was ok with the studio, we had a date and time scheduled.

Upon arriving at the studio, the Aria Ballroom in Redmond Washington, I had them run through a couple of dances while I just moved around them freely taking pictures. They even gave me a little taste of their wedding dance, which is going to be amazing. From this point, Avi had some ideas of images he wanted that were more posed dance moves. We had such a fun time shooting in the studio.

Next we moved on down the road a bit to Marymoor Park to do some more natural images and have a little picnic. We ended up shooting several setups all over the park and ended with a perfect picnic “scene” featuring the two love birds enjoying each other’s company as well as some amazing cupcakes made by Angela herself under her Blushing Diva Cupcakes company (360-319-5204 if you’d like to order some). I know these cupcakes were amazing because you KNOW I had one (or two or three).

What a perfect day to create some amazing pictures for an amazing couple!
