A couple of months ago I was able to help out the fantastic Melissa Kilner with another wedding. This one ended up being more in my neck of the woods. My day started with the guys getting ready at Servando’s friend’s place on First Hill in Seattle. We then met up with the girls at a hotel close to the ceremony location which was the Chapel of St. Ignatius on Seattle University’s campus grounds. After the traditional catholic ceremony, everyone headed out to the reception location, the TYEE Yacht Club.
I hadn’t met Servando or Kelley until day of which can always be intimidating to both myself and them. But they were pros and really brought it in front of our camera lenses. This wedding has given me some of my favorite images to date.
The reception location was absolutely amazing. With a dock extending out over the water complete with tables for guests, beautiful golden sunlight flooding inside through the big bay windows, an absolutely gorgeous wedding cake, amazing catering, and a fantastic 6 piece mariachi band, this was a wedding I won’t soon forget.
Servando and Kelley were so photogenic and the cameras were loving them. I could really see the love they had for each other. Servando was such a guy’s guy around his college buddies as he was getting ready but the second he saw his bride from the first look and on through the end of the night, they were one. Servando’s face would just light up when looking at Kelley.
Servando and Kelley, I wish you a lifetime of happiness and thank you so much for allowing me to help capture your beautiful day.
