Minor back-story info: If any of you have ever read the bios on our website, you know that our favorite coffee spot in Seattle is Macrina Bakery. That’s saying a lot for a city that is synonymous with great coffee. Ok, now moving on…

Trevor and Crystal were referred to me by a photographer friend of mine at the beginning of this year. After several emails back and forth, we scheduled a time to meet up. Even though our favorite spot is Macrina Bakery, Starbucks is usually the location we choose for potential client meetings. This is where it gets kind of funny. It turns out that Crystal is a “big-wig” for Macrina Bakery and Starbucks is of course one of their main competitors. Whoops 🙂 But just try to image Sarah and my excitement on learning she was part of one of our favorite spots in Seattle (not to mention Macrina would be providing the wedding cake).

The venue actually belongs to one of Crystals relatives and was a massive, beauty house and grounds. Lot’s of places for great photos. The ceremony was held on the lawn while the reception was set up on the sports court. What a cool idea eh? Some guests even started shooting hoops towards the end of the night.

One of the biggest moments of the wedding for everyone was the surprise that the mother-of-the-bride put together. Instead of the planned town-car picking the happy couple up, she scheduled a Vintage (1957, I think) Rolls Royce. What?! It was BEAUTIFUL! Almost everyone at the wedding flocked over to look at and take pictures of it.

All-in-all, these was a beautiful wedding, for a beautiful couple that went off perfectly. Great people, food, and guest engagement made this a wedding I’m sure no one will forget anytime soon.
