A beautiful venue, incredible food, a majestic mountain backdrop, lots of friends and family, and two people very much in love. This would be what I would say if someone were to ask me to describe Julia and Dorel’s wedding.

I was very much looking forward to creating this film as I’d been wanting to shoot at this particular venue for some time now, not to mention Julia and Dorel could easily grace the pages of a magazine.

Located deep in Snohomish farm country, Lorde Hill Farms is a staple wedding venue around this area and is always booked up far in advance. Julia and Dorel had reserved this spot to host their wedding as well as 200+ guests. Although it was a crisp February day, the weather outside was not unbearably and the cascade mountains in the distance were visibly clear as ever.

This was a Pentecostal Christian ceremony that took place entirely in Romanian. Even though I couldn’t understand what was being said, I could tell the impact it was a having on everyone. Parents, grandparents, family and friends alike were all shedding tears, as was the groom himself when he finally got to take the hand of his new bride.
